FAQ

-Rentals must have a current registration and insurance in the state they are in, or they cannot be rented. The production companies almost always have insurance that cover the vehicle in the event of damage/loss, all of which will be discussed with the agreement.

-There is no fee to list on UPC - we and you only get paid when the car gets rented!

-Rental vehicles stay with owners, not with UPC when not being rented.

-Rentals must be in good working order, unless otherwise agreed upon.

-Rental fees are almost always stated by the production companies, but you are welcome to let us know how much you want to rent it for, for the duration and we will do our best to get those fees.

-Those wishing to rent their vehicles must sign a damage/theft/breakdown waiver releasing UPC from any liability of the vehicle. We are simply here to get your vehicle in front of production houses and companies to provide them with the props they need!

-Part of the rental agreement states that production cannot damage the car in any way, but they can do things such as swap wheels, license plates and place props on the vehicle which is all reversible - with exceptions being what is agreed upon by the owner and production. (We once had a shoot where they wanted different wheels, and production let the owner keep those wheels after the shoot, for example)

-You must have the vehicle accessible for pickup and agree to the length of the rental by the production company.

-UPC rentals are not to be driven by the production companies more than agreed upon, without previous approval from the owner. The vehicles must be trailed/shipped at the cost of production unless otherwise agreed upon.

-Once rented, you will receive payment after the car is done with the shoot, unless otherwise arranged.

UPC Rentals must be registered to the respective owner in their respective state of ownership. Owners wanting to rent their car must provide a valid ID, Title and registration to UPC to list on the site.

UPC will take 50% of agreed upon rental fee from the production house for the rental of the vehicles, and the remaining 50% will be paid to the owner after the rental is completed as a broker fee.

UPC acts as a broker between owners of vehicles to be used for rental purposes and the film houses who need them. UPC holds no ownership claims to any rental vehicles unless otherwise notified.

Choosing to have your vehicle on UPC to be available for rental for film and picture use is solely at the risk of the owner. UPC does not hold any liability if a rental gets damaged or stolen, and repairs must be arranged with the party that damaged it by the owner.
